Ohh Granola!

I love some good granola!  My husband and I are trying to cut out high carb and processed sugar foods.  Homemade granola has been a nice treat for us!



  • 1 cup crushed almonds
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp cardamom


  1. Mix everything together in a mixing bowl and then spread out on a greased baking sheet
  2. Bake 20 minutes at 250 degrees
  3. Stir the granola and then continue to bake another 20 minutes.  Stir periodically to prevent burning.
  4. The granola will be lightly browned when finished.  Remove from oven, eat warm or cool and enjoy later.  This will keep for a week or two in an air tight container.
